A short note on how we handle your details.

What we collect

When you email the shop, subscribe to The Edit, or buy something in store, we collect the information you give us. That is typically a name, an email address, and a phone number. We collect what we need to reply, deliver, or fulfill the request, and nothing else.

What we do not collect

We do not run third-party trackers on this site. There is no advertising network embedded here. We do not buy or sell mailing lists. We do not share your details with anyone outside the shop, except to fulfill an order you have placed or to comply with a legal obligation.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to The Edit, we keep your email on a small list managed by the team. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter, or by writing to us at hello@hewn.example.com. We will remove you within a day.

In-store sales

We use a standard point-of-sale system in the shop. Card transactions are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

Cookies

This site uses minimal session cookies for navigation. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser without affecting your ability to browse the shop.

Your rights under PIPEDA

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to access the personal information we hold on you, to correct it, and to request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at hello@hewn.example.com. We will respond within thirty days.
