A small shop. A slow build.

We opened Hewn in 2021 in a small storefront on Queen West. The idea was simple. We wanted to build the kind of shop we missed when we travelled. A small room with a curator's hand, where the staff knew the makers by name and the pieces were chosen one by one.

Five years on, we are still small. We carry around fifty brands at any given time. We rotate slowly. We host trunk shows and supplier events for our subscribers. The website you are reading is an extension of the shop, not a replacement for it.

If you find yourself in Toronto, please come in. The shop is small, but the conversation is good.

We are a team of three. We answer emails between visitors. If we miss yours, please send another. We are usually behind on inbox by a day or so.

We will not sell your contact details. We will not send you discount codes. The newsletter is for people who want a slow note about new pieces and supplier visits, and that is all.
