Halver

Helsinki, Finland · founded 2018

Halver is a four-person studio in Helsinki making garments from small-batch wool and linen. Anneli founded the label in 2018 after a decade as a pattern cutter for Scandinavian heritage houses. The work is quiet. The materials are everything.

We started carrying Halver in our first year. The first piece we ordered was a charcoal wool overshirt. It sold out in a week. We have carried Halver every season since.

Anneli sources wool from a single mill in the Finnish archipelago and linen from a family weaver in Latvia. The studio cuts, sews, and finishes every piece in Helsinki. The annual production is small. We get a small share of it.

What we love about the work is the patience. Halver does not chase seasons. The cuts barely change year over year. The colours shift slowly. The garments are built to be worn for a decade.

A trunk show

Anneli will be in the shop in November.

We are hosting a trunk show with Halver in mid-November. Subscribers to The Edit get the exact date and a fitting slot first. The show is small, by appointment, and quiet.
